FAQ

Do you do collaborations, customs, commissions or wholesale?
Can I sample scents before purchasing a full bottle?

Yes. Discovery sets and samples are recommended before purchasing larger sizes, especially since scent perception and skin chemistry are deeply personal.

Are your perfumes vegan?

I do not use animalics like castoreum or civet. I do, however, use passive animalics. These include: ambergris stone, hyraceum stone and propolis resin. These are collected passively, often hundreds of years after the animal creates them, and thus have no impact on the animals themselves. See Ode to Earth for more info.

Who are your perfumes for?

Everyone. Perfume or cologne or certain notes being “for men” or “for women” is largely a marketing convention.

I am sensitive and have fragrance allergies, is your perfume safe for me?

The only way to deal with allergies is to avoid the allergen. I list every ingredient transparently, along with IFRA compliance and EU allergen declarations, so you can do that.

Are your perfumes skin safe?

Perfume contains concentrated aromatic materials that can irritate some individuals. Ingredient transparency, IFRA compliance and EU allergen declarations are the highest standards for informed skin safety. I provide all of this info for all of my perfumes so you can make informed decisions based your own sensitivities.

Are your perfumes handmade?

Yes. Each of my perfumes is formulated, blended, filtered, bottled, designed, labeled, packaged and shipped by hand in my perfume studio in coastal New England

Re: Natural Perfume

Are your perfumes 100% natural?

Yes. Every LUCKY CLOUD perfume is made of Natural Perfume (essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extracts, natural isolates, tinctures) and Organic Grape Alcohol. No synthetic fragrance molecules or fragrance oils.

Do your products contain synthetics, fragrance oils, parabens or phthalates?

No.

Natural perfumes use so much natural material, are your products sustainably sourced?

Yes. See Ode To Earth for more info.

How long does natural perfume last?

Natural perfume wears differently from synthetic or mixed-media fragrance. Some perfumes stay close to the skin while others project more noticeably. Wear time depends on the materials used, your skin chemistry, weather, and application style. Reapplication is normal and part of the ritual.

Why does natural perfume smell different from conventional perfume?

Natural perfume is alive and variable. Real flowers, roots, resins, seeds and woods have depth, texture and movement, while synthetic fragrances often feel more linear. You may notice more evolution on skin and subtler projection.

Why might my perfume smell different on skin than on paper or someone else?

Skin chemistry, environment, memory, perception and even weather can affect how a perfume unfolds. Natural perfume especially can shift noticeably from person to person.

Shipping, Returns & International Orders

I don't live in the US, can I place an order?

Not at this time. My perfumes are alcohol based and therefore subject to international shipping regulations. This may change in the future so stay tuned.

Do you offer returns, refunds or exchanges?

Unless your items were received incorrect or damaged, I cannot accommodate returns, refunds or exchanges. Purchase of a sample or discovery set is suggested before purchasing larger sizes.

Please contact me to discuss any issue with your order.
